Windmills of Kinderdijk
The Windmills of Kinderdijk are a group of 19 historic windmills located in the Alblasserwaard polder, near Rotterdam. Built in the 18th century, these windmills were used to pump water out of the low-lying land to prevent flooding. Today, they are a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most iconic symbols of the Dutch landscape.
